A mission from Okayama visits Australia every 2 years as part of an ongoing exchange of Japanese cultural and sporting goodwill with Australians of similar interests. The visiting group is made up of both adults & children who participate in either the performance of traditional Japanese music or play the sport of Judo.

During their stay in Australia, they visit both Queensland and New South Wales. Mr Kurozumi [Senior] is a very talanted potter.     His works are displayed at The New South Wales Art Gallery, to which he donates a wide variety of plates etc.

On arrival at the Woy Woy Judo Club, our guests are "Home stayed" with members of the club and their families. Our guests are shown around the local area on day trips to the Australian Reptile Park, Erina Fair Ice Skating etc.

The Woy Woy Judo Club endeavours to return the visit every three years.  A number of committed judokas are selected to visit Okayama for about 10 days to train at high schools in Japan.

A few pictures from our last visit in April 2007.
