Danny Simmons 5th Dan - Chief Instructor NCAS Level 1
|
Beginning Judo in 1955 at South Sydney Police Boys Club under the instruction of Ernie Chambers. Danny trained in Japan for a year in Iwakuni under Mr Nakano (7th Dan).
Danny has represented N.S.W in Multiple Australian Titles and Achieved Silver at the Oceania Championships in 1963 and narrowly missed out on the 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games selection.
Danny, who is also a J.P., is most respected in Australian Judo and the Community, having taught all over New South Wales and as a NSW State Team Assistant Coach.
His dedication of over 50 years to Judo rewarded him the Australian Sports Medal by the Queen and Prime Minister in 2000 The Year of the Volunteer.
In 2005 Danny & his wife Lindy were presented with the Rotary International Community Services Award for their time volunteered to Youth through Judo.
Danny is 5th Dan Black Belt and an NCAS Level 1 Accredited Coach, A Life Member of Judo NSW & The Black Belt Register and is also on the NSW Dan Grading Panel.

Mike Griffiths 1st Dan - Instructor NCAS Level 1

Mike Began his Judo Career in England as "a young lad" Training with the UK's top athletes himself missing out on the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games.
Arriving in Australia some 20 years ago mikes European and Australian judo has helped him become the sensei he is today,
In 2008 he gained is NCAS Level 1.
In 2009 Mike competed in the World Masters Games in Germany and also in the Australian Masters held in Victoria where he gained a silver medal in his age and weight category.
In November 2009 he achived the grade of Sho Dan (1st Dan) |

Daniel Simmons 1st Kyu - Asst Instructor NCAS Level 1

Beginning Judo at the Age of 7, under the instruction of Father Danny,
Daniel has represented NSW at 4 National Tittles as a Junior and Senior, and missing out on a Bronze Medal two times,
Daniel has also had the opportunity to train in Japan in Fujiyoshida and Okayama..
Still a competitor, and having be doing judo for just over 15 years, Daniel assists Coaching in the Junior and Senior Classes,
2010 Daniel Hopes to achieve Sho Dan (1st Dan) and Represent Australia like his Father at Oceania. |
